The Tasting at Perliss Estate
The estate is located close to Calistoga. A scenic drive up north on Highway 29 leads you to their family property at the northern-most end of Napa Valley.
You can see Mount St. Helena on the way up – sometimes even covered by snow in the winter months.
The small, well taken-care off vineyard is surrounded by forests of oak, manzanitas and madrone. Turkey Vultures are circling above.
Here you find volcanic loamy soil which drains well in this natural setting with cool nights, fog in the morning which burns off to sunshine and warm temperatures to nurture the grapes.
The location itself is so secluded & tucked away in a natural wine country setting. It’s farming and great wine making at the same time. The wine maker is Aaron Pott. If you know, you know. Pina Vineyard management who takes care of some of the best vineyards in Napa Valley also takes care of Perliss Estate Vineyards.
