Some olive trees are fruit bearing and some are fruit less with an average lifespan of 300-600 years.

The trees provide a wonderful fruit for consumption when cured and furthermore provides an incredible fine, healthful oil.

Where to get the best olive oil in Napa Valley?

Darioush Winery

This Persian winery right at the beginning of Silverado Trail is well-known for high end wine experiences & also offers a Sensory Session olive oil tasting with their own in-house olive oil expert. Check out their site for more information.

Round Pond Estate

Offers a guided 90 minute tour & tasting. Round Pond is located somewhat in the middle of the Napa Valley on Rutherford Road and has a working mill. You can also taste their estate vinegar and likewise their wine of course. A bottle of their 375ml olive oil is about $48.

Cimarossa Vineyards

100% Cabernet Sauvignon is produced high up on Howell Mountain. With 15 acres of planted vineyard property, they also have about 2,100 Italian olive tree varietals and make some of the finest olive oil in Napa Valley. Pure, cold crushed liquid gold, and it comes in a 750ml wine bottle for around $45. It’s quite limited and a wine purchase is suggested with it.
