This family owned winery is located in Chiles Valley. Where is that?

Chiles Valley

is an AVA & it is between St. Helena & Napa in the Vaca Mountains of Napa Valley. The windy roads leading up the mountain, show how much there is to Napa Valley – a different side. It is also best to hire a personal driver who knows these beautiful locations, located 800 to 1300 feet up.

I believe there are not more than 10 wineries and please remember to make an appointment and call well in advance. They are only open by appointment and are busy working on their vineyards, not waiting for you behind a bar counter.

If you like Zinfandel, this is a fantastic area, as some of the oldest Napa Zinfandel vines are planted in this AVA.

The Volker Eisele Family

practices organic farming & is certified as organic. Planted with 60 acres of vines, the Eisele Family mostly planted Cabernet Sauvignon, some Merlot, Cabernet Franc, some Semillon & a little Sauvignon Blanc.

It’s the perfect Cabernet climate for full bodied wines & fantastic for overall complexity.

It’s an off the beaten path highlight. Again call well in advance, make an appointment & you will absolutely love it up there. Afterwards enjoy Lake Berryessa for a bit.
