Wondering if Napa or Sonoma is better? Here is the easy answer – they are both fantastic. While Napa sometimes gets the reputation of being snobbish (not at all), Sonoma has a reputation of a farming community. Both locations do have amazing wineries, vineyards and locations.

Sonoma Valley has a cooler climate compared to Napa Valley which allows it to grow other grape varietals as well that are more suited for that type of climate. Think Pinot Noir & Chardonnay.

To get to Sonoma Valley from Napa Valley it is just about 45 minutes, depending where you are going, with many wineries on the way & in-between.
